Free LTC generator + show-ready software from Duck Lights

Timecode tools built for shows.

DuckTC.net is the home base for fast LTC generation, clean MIDI routing, and LTC-to-MTC conversion tools designed for lighting programmers, LDs, laser programmers, playback techs, and show control workflows.

Why this exists

Most timecode shows work
...until they don't.

When the artist walks on stage, you do not want to wonder whether the problem is LTC level, frame rate, MIDI routing, virtual ports, or a console setting. Duck Lights software is built to make show-control status visible before it becomes a show problem.

Start with clean LTC

Web LTC Generator gives programmers and music playback teams a fast way to generate show timecode locally in the browser, even when you've got one bar of signal.

Fix MIDI routing chaos

Duckport MIDI turns the old virtual-MIDI utility stack into a cleaner, purpose-built routing layer for show computers.

Diagnose the signal

Duck TC converts incoming LTC audio to MTC while showing sync status, Post-roll, Jam-sync, Oscillator viewer, and waveform health in a way operators can actually trust.

Product lineup

A practical toolkit for LDs, programmers, and show systems.

Our free tool solves some immediate headaches. The paid tools help when the workflow depends on accurate LTC input, reliable MTC output, and diagnostics that reduce show-day guessing.

Easy MIDI Routing

Duckport MIDI

A modern Windows MIDI routing utility for show systems, built to replace older and bloated MIDI routing apps.

  • No more guesswork on MIDI port routings for each app.
  • Simple routing between playback, console, and MIDI controller.
  • Fixed patch views and clear in/out traffic indicators
  • Designed as the shared routing layer for DuckTC and future tools

FAQ

Who is this for?

Lighting programmers, lighting designers, lighting directors, playback techs, laser programmers, students, and educators who work with timecode-based live show systems.

What is DuckTC Web?

DuckTC Web is a free browser-based Linear Time Code (LTC) generator. It is meant to be fast, useful, and easy to generate multiple timecode files in seconds.

What is DuckPort MIDI?

DuckPort MIDI is the foundational MIDI routing Windows 11 utility. The current direction is to offer it for free so users can set up routing easily and have a reliable base for Lighting Software and Audio Playback system workflows on a single machine.

What is DuckTC?

DuckTC is the paid LTC-to-MTC converter. It receives LTC from an audio interface, monitors signal health, displays real-time audio waveforms, and routes MTC through DuckPort MIDI to consoles and show-control apps.

What platforms are supported?

DuckPort MIDI and DuckTC are designed for Windows 11. DuckTC may be evaluated for Windows 10 support if you ask us enough.
